Having a garage sale is by far the easiest part of having a garage sale. Now trying to get a lot of people to show up is a different question! Most people fail at this part for the fact that they just open up the doors and expect people to just magically show up. If you’re going to have a garage sale then you should take the time out to make sure people know about it.

The first thing you need to do is plan the sale and advertise it as much as possible. The best way to do this is to make eye catching fliers and posters and then put them up all over the town. This will make everyone aware you’re having a garage sale.

It is a good idea to let your friends know about you hosting a garage sale as this creates the chance of word spreading and other people turning up from other neighborhoods.

If you’re having a big sale you can also post on social networks about your sale or put ads in the local papers advertising the garage sale as well. When you pick the day of the sale make sure you check the weather report and plan accordingly to the whether report; you don’t want your things in the rain! Also make sure you have enough tables and shelves for all of your things to be displayed. This way people can see easily what you have for sale.

This book looked very interesting and was extremely cheap so I bought it and could not have made a better decision. I followed every detailed step in the book and it made my garage sales awesome. I was able to sale all of my clutter in my home within my first 2 garage sales.

Plus I made over $500 doing it. If you are new to garage sales or are just not that good at them then I would recommend getting this book or one like it so you can learn what you need to do to make money with garage sales while cleaning the clutter out your house. It’s like killing two birds with one stone!
